Wingello Hall Centenary

In 2018 I was invited to put on a show for the centenary of the Wingello Hall. So with enthusiasm I set about researching its timeline and its importance in the history of the community. I worked out a programme that illustrated various visual aspects of the story of the hall and added a musical dimension to show how important music and dance was to the people of the area.

With the able support of Richard Officer, Lesley Ferrier, Duncan McAulay, and Rhonda Langford the show was presented to a full hall of locals. One of the local musicians who was mentioned in the script was Rita Garbutt and we were delighted to meet her daughter after the show.

It also turned out that Richard Officer, one of the cast, was related to the architect who designed the hall we were celebrating.

The script and music for the show are available for viewing or download by clicking on the pictures below.
